The exact duration of the treatment depends on the individual circumstances, but can usually be completed within one day. The temporary prosthesis is fitted immediately after the operation, while the final prosthesis is fitted after a certain healing period.

Most patients experience only minimal discomfort during and after the treatment. If desired, the treatment can be performed under general anesthesia, which also makes it ideal for anxious patients. Your dentist will also prescribe painkillers to minimize any discomfort after the treatment.

The healing process varies from person to person, but it usually takes a few weeks to a few months for the implants to heal completely. Your implantologist, Prof. Dr. Dr. Draenert, will monitor the progress and give you helpful care instructions.
